Okay, so the way a script works is there's the times and the translations. Translators do their translating thing, timers time the script so that the words and the audio matches up (either by hand, which can be annoying, or using a program--like, say, Miyu--which should display the audio as a timeline and allow you to time (I'm actually going to have to get back to you on that tomorrow, as I am drowsy as hell and I've only used Miyu once or twice. :l), and typesetters make it all ~pretty~. And then obviously QC'ers quality check lD

With softsubs I think that removes most of the typesetting beyond making sure things aren't on top of each other and centered and not some weirdass color--my real typesetting experience is messing around with hardsubs.

I'm sure there are guides that I can link you to in the morning after I've slept. :D?
