SO SEUNGRI'S MINI-ALBUM IS BASICALLY THE BEST THING EVER, RIGHT? i'm so proud of him and so happy and sdgjfkgnkfmgkmfdUNF. this man. such excellence.

This may be my favorite Nakamaru performance on Shounen Club of all time. Especially the Love yourself part. Next month is ~Maru Month~ on my journal, so prepare yourself for a lot of his damn fine self. (Well, him and Maruyama Ryuhei/Maru-chan. :3)

It's a whole month of the two of them :D I have a list full of things to spam! Performances and outfits and interviews and fic recs... oh lord I could probably ninja in Maru, he's adorable. :3;;

I am utterly giddy at the thought~ <3 I think it's a prerequisite that you have to be made of awesome sauce if you go by the Maru nickname.

I would say that that makes sense. The mantle of Maru brings with it the responsibility for awesomesauce. Good thing they're both up to the challenge. :3;;

blue_bel) and I were thinking initially was we'd try one ep and see how it went and that I'd give her a timed file and she'd fill in the translation... does that make sense? I have zero experience, she has only a little, so... thoughts? Could you and I both time one ep to go faster or is that impossible? Or it makes more sense to do one each? What else is there to do? I am a total n00b, you realize. :D

Yeah, you can definitely do it that way. It'd make more sense to do one each. I use Aegis on my brother's PC, but I'm willing to fight with Miyu (the best alternative for macs) and figure out how to use it in a similar way. :D;; Other than timing and translating, it's usually best to have a QCer... Typsesetting can be a bitch but I will... brush up on things. :D;;

...Is there any place where I can read up on what each function/role entails? And if not, quickie explanation? :D

See, I have no idea what typesetting is... does it make a difference that we want to just do softsubs?

Okay, so the way a script works is there's the times and the translations. Translators do their translating thing, timers time the script so that the words and the audio matches up (either by hand, which can be annoying, or using a program--like, say, Miyu--which should display the audio as a timeline and allow you to time (I'm actually going to have to get back to you on that tomorrow, as I am drowsy as hell and I've only used Miyu once or twice. :l), and typesetters make it all ~pretty~. And then obviously QC'ers quality check lD

With softsubs I think that removes most of the typesetting beyond making sure things aren't on top of each other and centered and not some weirdass color--my real typesetting experience is messing around with hardsubs.
